And here I begin Round 2 (Version 2.0) of my blogging hobby. In the past I talked about school, family, boys, with the occasional original poem or artpiece...but as i've grown, changed, and found more reasons to blog, ohsojudilicious.blogspot.com just doesn't seem like the right place any more.
So, here it is! A space for me to talk Issues, Excitement, and Confusion. Personal or global; Exciting or dull, this is a brief record of life for me right now. Right now for me is in between 3rd and 4th year of schooling at Mount Alison University (www.mta.ca), and I'm back living at home in Athabasca, AB. I resisted pretty strongly to the idea of moving back home - when I have a place in Sackville, NB I'm paying for already, it seemed a bit redundant. BUT considering this may be one of the last summers I'm living at home while school friends are still around, Why not? right?
It's work at Athabasca University as a summer student that has me back at home. They pay well, and it's great experience. I can't say it's my dream job - unlike Jess' fantastic Drumheller experience (see her blog at alberta-unearthed.blogspot.com for details on just how much fun she's having in the Badlands!) - but it's a job. And I'm glad to have one, in a pretty dry employment market.
While I'm name dropping, another reason to be in Alberta this summer was to help Matt Lawrence experience the country! He's starting TODAY on his bike trip, and should be in Calgary by mid-June. (This promised visit is keeping my spirits high - rather than dwell on the fact there's virtually NO ONE in my age bracket/of my friends in town this summer. booo...) check out his blog too: 2wheels1country.com!
It's already been a month at home and I'm just settling in, but more curve balls of excitement should be thrown my way soon, I can't wait?!
NEXT TIME: look for my motivations/goals for the summer - tracking them is part of the reason why I wanted to amp up my blogging.
